Woman Carrying Child Struck and Killed While Crossing Sunset Avenue

34-year-old Roseann Ruma (Springdale, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Friday, September 13, 2019.

At approximately 4:51 p.m. Ms. Ruma was attempting to walk across West Sunset Avenue (U.S. 412) in Springdale when she was struck by a vehicle (2016 Ford F450) traveling east on West Sunset Avenue. According to the report, Ms. Ruma “crossed in front of [the vehicle].”

Ms. Ruma was carrying an unidentified minor at the time who was transported with injuries to Children’s Northwest Hospital.

Weather conditions were cloudy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
