Minor Loses Life in Rison Wreck on Highway 63

An unidentified minor was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Friday, January 24, 2020.

At approximately 5:40 p.m. the minor was a passenger in a vehicle traveling north on Highway 63 when the vehicle (2005 Mercury) slowed to make a left-hand turn onto Hill Harper Road. The vehicle was struck from behind by a second vehicle (2019 Kia Sorento) traveling north on Highway 63.

61-year-old Vicky Wheeler (Rison, AR) and 37-year-old Britnee Wright (Rison, AR) were both injured in the wreck. An unidentified minor child in the second vehicle was not injured.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
