Wet Roads in West Helena Result in Deadly Collision

74-year-old Alice Dunn (West Helena, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

56-year-old Joanna Mallard (Lexa, AR) and two unidentified male minors were also injured in the accident.

At approximately 10:25 a.m. Ms. Dunn was driving east on Highway 49 in West Helena when her vehicle (2002 Mercury Cougar) crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle (2001 Isuzu Trooper) traveling west in the westbound lane of traffic.

Ms. Mallard and both minors were traveling in the Isuzu vehicle.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
